Wimbledon 2025 isn’t just about tennis – it’s a stage for celebrities and brands to get their ambassadors to showcase some of the world’s finest and latest timepieces. From Rolex’s storied tradition to daring feats of horology, every celebrity wrist tells a story of heritage, ambition, and impeccable style.

At this Mecca for sporting champions and A-list icons alike, a watch is far more than a tool for telling time – it’s a statement. In this journal, I spotlight seven standout watches and explore what they reveal about their wearers.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Tiffany – Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe turned heads on Centre Court with a 40 mm yellow‐gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona featuring a vivid “Tiffany Blue” dial and a black rubber strap. This luxury chronograph, a collector’s dream valued around £100,000 on the secondary market, is a distinctive piece exuding boldness and luxury. The blue dial offers a refreshing twist on a classic chronograph, reinforcing Crowe’s penchant for dramatic yet refined statement pieces.

By choosing Daytona – the ultimate motorsport chronograph – Crowe aligns himself with precision, endurance, and masculine glamour.

Diamond‑set Tudor Black Bay Chrono – David Beckham

Another Beckham highlight: on day one, temperatures soared above 32°C, and he debuted a bespoke diamond‑studded Tudor Heritage Chrono, with a striking black lacquer dial and snowflake hands, reportedly gifted by the brand in celebration of his 50th birthday.

While Tudor is known for sporty, utilitarian pieces, Beckham’s diamond‑outfitted customization amplifies exclusivity and personal flair. It speaks to his fashion‑forward mindset – elevating a favourite sports model into a glittering accessory befitting his status as a style icon and global ambassador.

Vintage Rolex Day‑Date – Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas sported a timeless Rolex Day‑Date in yellow gold, complete with a black dial, during his Royal Box appearance – similar to the one in the image.

Known as the “President,” this legendary model projects success, confidence, and refined taste. Its classic lines and impeccable finish hint at Jonas’s appreciation for horological heritage – while the diamonds add a discreet sparkle that nods to his pop‑star persona.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Shades” – Eddie Redmayne

Eddie Redmayne opted for punchy colour with his 38 mm Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Shades” showcasing a sun‑brushed terracotta red dial and crisp white accents.

A departure from the Rolex-heavy trend, this choice underscores his youthful, playful character – subtle yet unmistakable. The Aqua Terra lines balance elegance and performance, mirroring Redmayne’s onscreen versatility and attention to understated detail.

Rolex Explorer II 42 mm – John Cena

Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena was spotted donning a robust 42 mm Rolex Explorer II with a white dial, 24‑hour dial, and characteristic orange hand.

This tool watch evokes adventure and durability – key aspects of Cena’s public persona. With its bold size and legibility, the Explorer II suits someone unafraid to stand out, yet deeply appreciative of Rolex’s rich legacy of rugged exploration.

Rolex Day‑Date 40 – Simu Liu

Astro‑Charmer Simu Liu emerged in the Royal Box wearing a classic Rolex Day‑Date 40, crafted in precious metal. The Day‑Date 40 is the epitome of Rolex’s prestige collection, underlining Liu’s rising stature and refined taste.

By blending tradition and modernity in his watch choice, Liu bridges the worlds of Hollywood success and serious timepiece appreciation.

Breitling Navitimer B01 & Santos De Cartier – Richard E. Grant

Actor Richard E. Grant made a stylish statement with his 46 mm Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph, a throwback to vintage aviators and tool watches. Its functional slide-rule bezel reflects his intellectual elegance and appreciation for technical watches.

Paired with a Cartier Tank on the other wrist, he presents a striking duality: soared technical flair meets classic dress sophistication.

One watch on each wrist….is it deuce or a winning volley!

Spectators at Wimbledon 2025 also glimpsed a cavalcade of high‑end Rolex models, with Roger Federer attending with a Rolex Sky‑Dweller; Mirka Federer wearing a diamond-and‑emerald Rolex Day‑Date; other celebs wearing novelties like Tom Cruise’s Platinum Day‑Date, Jennifer Cumberbatch’s Polaris Memovox, Novak Djokovic’s green‑ceramic Hublot Big Bang, and many others too

In the epic sporting arena of Wimbledon, my favourite Wimbledon Watch has to be the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Tiffany, worn by the Gladiator himself, Russell Crowe.

It’s game, set and match to Russell Crowe and the Daytona Tiffany.
